Carl Bybee is an associate professor of Media Studies in the School of Journalism and Communication at the University of Oregon and Director of the Oregon Media Literacy Project. His research and teaching draw on American Pragmatism to focus on understanding media and media activism through the lens of an integrated understanding of biological and cultural evolution, embodiment and democratic culture.
