Director of Writing, Communication, and Media LiteracyLa Jolla Country Day SchoolLucas Jacob is the Director of Writing, Communication, and Media Literacy at La Jolla Country Day School. For more than 25 years, he has worked as a teacher, advisor, coach, and administrator in PK-12 schools; in 2004-05, he served as a Fulbright Teaching Fellow in Budapest, Hungary. He is the author of two full-length poetry collections and two poetry chapbooks. His essays, stories, and poems have appeared in literary magazines including Southwest Review, Hopkins Review, and RHINO, and in trade journals including Education Week, Independent Teacher Magazine, Independent School Magazine’s Independent Ideas blog, and IEEE’s Computer Graphics and Applications.
