Chief Research and Knowledge Management OfficerZimbabwe Human Rights CommissionNancy Kwangwa is a disruptive thought leader with 10+ years of experience in designing and implementing research and knowledge management projects. Currently, she is the Chief Research and Knowledge Management Officer at the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission. In this role, she is responsible for identifying research areas on human rights and administrative justice, and implementation of knowledge management and research activities of the Commission. In the recent past, Nancy has worked as the Manager for Scholarly Communication and Publishing at the University of Zimbabwe where she was primarily responsible for coordinating information and digital literacy training programmes. Nancy has facilitated workshops on; media and information literacy including combating disinformation at national, regional and international levels. She has served as a member of the International Organisation Committee for UNESCO’s Media and Information Literacy Week events in 2022 and 2023. Nancy has been recognized at the global level by the U.S. Department of State where she was nominated for the prestigious International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) and selected as a Fellow for the Community Solutions Program, a Specialist for the Community Engagement Programme. In Zimbabwe, Nancy has served as a Chairperson for the Zimbabwe Library Association Mashonaland Branch. At the global level, Nancy serves as a member of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) Law Libraries Section.
