Morris is an Associate Professor of Communication Studies at Indiana University-Purdue University at Columbus who specializes in media studies and new media. She received her Ph.D. in Communication from Purdue University. Prior to seeking that degree, Dr. Morris studied computer science and worked at IBM as a programmer and project manager. Her primary research interests are media law, technology adoption, and uses and effects of technology on communication processes. She particularly enjoys teaching and is passionate about media literacy education and making students good digital citizens.
