Faculty, School of Communication, Women’s and Gender Studies, and Motion Picture ArtsCapilano University, Vancouver, BCKi Wight is a media & cultural industries scholar who studies the relationships between social justice and media arts education, work cultures, and industry practices. Her research and teaching engages critical and decolonial pedagogy, critical media literacy, social justice education, visual methodologies, critical race and whiteness studies, and cultural, queer and feminist studies. She has been a full time instructor since 2009 at Capilano University in Communication Studies, Women’s and Gender Studies, Motion Picture Arts. She holds a PhD in Equity Studies in Education from Simon Fraser University and prior to teaching, she was a film producer for Canadian and international productions.
